SCCM SP2 or R2 Newer?
Hello! I have a simple (and probably stupid) question, but I can't seem to figure out whether R2 or SP2 is newer? My servers are at 4.00.6221.1000 with R2 installed indicating 'Yes,' but I get the impression SP2 is newer than R2. Thanks for the help!

SCCM SP2 is newer but also not the same thing as R2. R2 gives more features to SCCM: Support for App-V, unknow computer, etc SP2 support Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Mathieu

SCCM R2 is not a full product version and it requires that SCCM SP1 or SP2 already be installed on your site server. The last version of SCCM is SCCM 2007 SP2 (4.00.6487.2000) For more info : What's New in Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee344318.aspx Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 Supported Configurations http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee344146.aspx List of hotfixes and updates that are contained in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;971348 Configuration Manager R2 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/systemcenter/cm/cc761485.aspx Thanks.Bechir Gharbi.
