SCCM SP2 install - cannot remove WAIK 1.1 from add/remove programs - cannot find source
Try running one of those MSI (the one appropriate for the OS architecture that you are on with the /x switch to initiate the uninstall: msiexec /x waikamd64.msi (for 64-bit) or msiexec /x waikx86.msi (for 32-bit)Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys

My primary site is pretty much hosed and I cannot get paid for support from Microsoft because I am on SP1. (which I did not know it was unsupported in Jan. 2011) I just finished upgrading from SMS 2003 in December. I have been working on this issue for almost three weeks now. So I went to install SP2 so that I could get support on my current SCCM SP1 primary site install. It fails because WAIK 1.1 is still in add/remove programs. I cannot remove it as it wants the source which I don't see anywhere on the box - it's looking for waik.msi in e:\program files (xi86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\waik\. There are two waik msi files in there but not waik.msi. I also tried the option to repair but since it cannot find waik.msi it cannot repair it. I have tried looking for a fix to removing WAIK 1.1 but cannot find it anywhere in my searches. Can anyone give me some help in how to remove wait 1.1 on my 2008 server?

When I upgraded from SMS 2003 sp3 I installed to ConfigManager 2007 - sp1 full install. The only waik I see in that directory is: waikamd64.msi and WAIKX86.MSI along with corresponding mst files and a winpe.cab file.
