I have made new instalation of a child primary site and run into problem. My management point is failing. It seams that MP failes regulary on aproximatly one hour. I have read a few posts but none like mine. Mostly they have problems of not working at all. But in my case it seems that everything is working normaly, except short disruption every hour. Does it succeed again without having touched anything on the server? Anything useful in the eventlog?

Yes it succeds without touching it. Nothing usefull in Event Logs. The only thing i found was above mentioned error with event ID 5436

Can you check and see if the R2 is fully patched including the 2 optional updates, which I do not remember their name (I think one was 4.0 framework)? I had an issue last week with one and the patching helped.

Is it failing at the exact same time every hour? Check the event log of the machine to make sure your not spiking the network, processor, or something that would cause IIS to stop responding for a short period of time.http://www.sccm-tools.com http://sms-hints-tricks.blogspot.com

I would think it has to do with what happens once an hour on the SCCM server process cycle. How are your discoveries and other settings setup?

HI, First thanks for your assistance and quick responses. It looks like i have removed the problem. Thanks to Torsten i have taken a look into windows event logs a bit dipper. I have found that the problems begun when SCCM client was installed on server. Machine policy is renewed on client hourly, so i thought this could be it. Repair installation of the client didn't help. So i made uninstall (ccmsetup.exe /uninstall), restart the computer and install the client again. Today no errors were on server.
