SCCM SP2 - Remote Tool Client Agent
Hello, here is my problem!!!I have deployed 3 sites (central + 2 child). One of the child manages all client XP and Vista, the other only server Windows 2003 e 2008. Well....on a number of Windows 2003 x64 I can execute the remote tool only one time. After the first connetion, I recive an error stating that the remote tool agent is not present. Wird.....If I send reinstall the client SCCM, same thing...ANY CLUE????:-)

Are you running SCCM 2007 SP2? SP2 has a few new supported scenarios for x64 bit architecture and remote tools. One of them is around support for x64 Windows Server 2003 and Remote tools in SCCM 2007 SP2. What does your \WINDOWS\SysWOW64\CCM\Logs\remotecontrol log say ? According to a previous post from our friend Wally Mead, prior to SP2: "We do support Remote Control on 64-bit clients, however, only for Windows Vista x64. I honestly don't know if this also means x64 Windows Server 2008, but would *guess* that it does. We don't support it for 64-bit Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 :-( So, there is a caveat in the support we offer for 64-bit Remote Control. Sorry about that. We're looking to see if we can add support for the other platforms in the SP2 release, or if this will be some future release of Configuration Manager. As we make a decision on that, I'll update the post."HTH,-MattMatthew Tinney mtinney@windowsmanagementexperts.com www.windowsmanagementexperts.com (206) 778 4432

Hi Matt, yes I do use SCCMSP2 which according to the support statement it should be ok for Windows 2003 x64 and remote tool. The issue is that the remote tool runs only once.:-)
