SCCM SP1 Prerequisites Error - SQL Server sysadmin rights
Experts,
I am installation SCCM 2007 and I run prerequistie but I get an error "SQL Server sysadmin rights" and it describes "Either the user account running configuration Manger Setup does not have sysadin SQL server role permissions on the SQL server instance targeted
for site database installation or the SQL server instance could be be contacted to verify permissions. Setup cannot continue"
The SCCM server and SQL server are not installed on the same server.
Setup is
DC - Windows 2003 Server, Created one SCCM Service account for Installation
SCCM Server - Windows 2008 64 bit
SQL Server - Windows 2008 64 bit with SQL Server 2008 64 bit and SP1
Please give me some advices.. Shiva

In addition to Jason's reply: you have to install SP2 when using server 2008.

Hi,
If you want to install SCCM database on the remote server, please make sure:
Add the machine account of the primary site server machine to the local Administrators group of the remote SQL Server computer. This is required to allow the site server to install and configure settings later.
If the user account running Configuration Manager Setup does not have administrative rights on the remote SQL Server, you must assign the
sysadmin SQL Server role to the user account in the SQL Server 2005 Management Studio console on the remote SQL Server computer.

Is SP2 available slipstreamed? When I did our install last month, I was handed SCCM-with-SP1 and a separate installer for SP2.
