SCCM R3 SP2, MDT 2010 U1 - OSD Deployment issues (abortpxe.com)
Hello all. I'm trying to get to work whole deployment of new computer of Windows 7 Enterprise. PROBLEM: Getting abortpxe.com step right after it got wdsnbp.com image. Looks nearly like this: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrosd/thread/03655119-be8b-4b1a-8fa4-0eb6a6103de2/ in first post, though i have this immediately, not waiting for "Contacting server". INFRASTRUCTURE: SCCM 2007 SP2 R3, MDT 2010 integration installed Subnets: 10.10.1.X - client subnet 10.10.2.X - server subnet (DHCP on 1, WDS + SCCM on 2) Subnets with /24 mask, IP Helper enabled DHCP Options: 66 - 10.10.2.52 (SCCM), 67 - /smsboot/x86/wdsnbp.com STEPS DONE: 1. Installed and not configured WDS 2. Installed PXE role, configured to respond to unknown computers 3. Created Boot Images from MDT for ZTI (x86, x64), deployed to PXE (files are present in corresponding folders) 4. Created OS, Drivers, Apps, OSD and Task Sequence 5. Created advertisement, attached to Unknown Systems collection 6. Booted new client station - Architecture x64 and the error is like the above. ISSUES and QUESTIONS: 1. Do I have to specify which boot image to use in DHCP when I don't know which system I will boot? 2. Am I missing any steps here which might prevent client from booting from wdsnbp ?? Thanks for quick response!R.E.M. - YEAH!

Hi, I would not specify DHCP Option 66 & 67, I would use IP helper instead which points to both the DHCP and SCCM server(two entries). Otherwise you would have to specify the boot image. Check this SCCM Support team blog post about troubleshooting PXE Service Point. http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2011/01/05/troubleshooting-the-pxe-service-point-and-wds-in-configuration-manager-2007.aspx There you have all the steps necessary to get it to work documentet..
