SCCM Patch Report issue
Hi All
im new in SCCM and i've started to deploy patches to several workstation. I've created an update list for June's 2011 patch and deployed to all the testing workstation and servers. I want to see the patch status, to see whether the patches is installed or not
and i select the Deployments that contain an update list which is under the
Software Update - B. Deployment Management report group.
But when i run the report, under Update for Microsoft Office 2007 System, it shows column Required - 4 and column Installed - 12....
From what is understand, only 4 laptop is required to install this patch. if so, why does it displayed Installed - 12? Shouldnt it be Installed - 4? I dont quite understand....

You should be looking at the report Enforcement state for a deployment
you can access the report from the within the software update feature main site in the Configmgr. console.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Hi Kent
I did run the Enforcement state for a deployment report and under the
Last State column, it has:
Compliant: 37 machines
Enforcement State Unknown: 4 machines
Failed to install update: 2 machines
Sorry to ask, but what does compliant means? Does it means 37 machines "is supposed" to get this patch?
Hi Eswar,
oh, ok... So i can say i cannot depend on the Required field to know how many PC is required to install the patches but instead the figures in Required field means how many machines that havent install the patch correct? And the figures in Installed column
means the total no of machines that has been installed with the patch...

Hi,
Installed: Specifies the number of systems that
have installed the software update and no longer require it.
Required: Specifies the number of systems that
require the software update.
Unknown: Specifies the number of systems in which
the software update state is unknown.
% Compliant: Specifies the percentage of clients
on which the software update is installed or not required over the total number of clients in the All Systems Collection.

Once the update is installed it should become compliant after the next Update scan (and possible restart).Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund
