SCCM Package Not Loading

We have a distribution point that is getting the .pck file copied to it but it never successfully unpacks that file and load it onto the DP Share. When the unpacking gets to the very end it fails and then starts over again in a constant loop. Each time it does this the temp folder is automatically removed and it starts to unpack to a new temp folder.

This package is loading on the other DPs fine.

Some of the errors I've noticed are:

Total side note: DPs not receive content using pck files. The pck files are used for site to site content transfer and then the DP receives the content via SMB. In your case, it sounds like the DP is local to a secondary or child site.

Does this happen with all packages or just this one?

Do you have the proper AV exclusions in place on the system?

We have 63 Secondary Sites and I'm having this issue on 3 of them. Two of the Secondary's are having issue with package-A and the third site is having the same issue with package-B. We've done the following:

  1. Unload package from DP
  2. On the DP delete all items with the PackageID in its name
  3. SQL: delete from pkgstatus where sitecode = xxx and id = yyy0000a
  4. SQL: delete from pkgservers where sitecode = xxx and pkgid = yyy0000a
  5. Add package back to DP and let it recopy across the .pck file

Weve also done the following items:

  1. Site reset
  2. Noticed the 2 files in e:\sms\inboxes\schedule.box\uid had different file names so stopped the services, renamed both files to a new filename thats the same but incremented to the highest number +1, completed the steps above to send across the package again.

We're still experiencing this issue. Typically if we have any package issues then steps 1-5 works every time.

Please advise if you have any thoughts on any other steps we could try to fix the issue.

Thanks,

Jason
