SCCM OSD via Win PE Boot ISO - Fails to install client
I'm trying to deploy a Windows 2008 x86 server. I can't use PXE so i'm booting off the ISO I created using the create bootable media option. The OS deploys but then it fails at installing the SCCM client it appears: This is what appears in the report: The task sequence execution engine failed executing the action (Setup windows and ConfigMgr) in the group ( ) with the error code 193 Action output: . The operating system reported error 193: %1 is not a valid Win32 application. I'm going to try recreating the SCCM client package and setting it to be allowed on all Operating systems since 2008 wasn't selected in the package. Has anyone else ever come across this before? Thanks. Nick

You can check setuperr.log to see if there are any other failures not related to the client install as well. You would have to look at ccmsetup.log for specific client errors if you can't find more info in smsts.log I would recreate your client package, sounds like something is messed up with it. Especially since it's a 32-bit only applicaiton :)MCTS: ConfigMgr, MDT / http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/cnackers/default.aspx
