SCCM OSD Task Sequence - Run Command Line and Install Software Tasks Take 5 Min to execute
I have several Run Command Line and Install Software Tasks in my SCCM OSD - Task Sequence. The Installation Progress bar will appear for a Command Line/Install Software task and say "Running action: " and it will idle there for a 1-2 minutes and then it will show that it is downloading the source files to the local PC, it then takes 3-5 minutes until it acually shows progress and executes the command/install successfully and moves to the next task. Is this normal behavior? Why or what is causing the delay of the run command/install software tasks? Does a setting in the packages need to updated to eliminate this behavior?

Hi, maybe you can choose to apply it right away instead of downloading it first? This can be done in your advertisement properties. Just change your advertisement and choose "access content directly from a DP when needed" instead of "Download content locally when needed".My blogs: Henk's blog and Virtuall | Follow Me on: Twitter | View My Profile on: LinkedIn
