SCCM OSD Problem
Hello, I'm using SCCM 2007 OSD and MS MDT 2010 to build an OS bare metal machine. I have the machine built but I have 2 problems. Problem 1) None of the domain users or groups that I specified are being added to the Local Administrators group. I added the uses and groups in to the Roles/Administrators tab for the MDT 2010 Workbench. I defended the RAdmins section of the CustomSettings.ini file. Does anyone know what might be cause the problem? Problem 2) After the machine is built, I noticed two Administrator accounts have been created Administrator and Administrator2. They are both being placed into the Local Administrators group. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thank you for any help. Sam

Hi Sam, first check the ztigather.log if the configured admins are added to the list of local administrators. You should see some entries like ADMINISTRATORS001, ADMINISTRATORS002, etc.. If you don't see those entries, you are missing something in your cs.ini then please post the corresponding parts so we can further assist. You can also check the ZTIGroups.log to see if the Administrators are added to the system. For the second I would assume a GPO, GPP or Logon script creating those accounts. Regards Maik

Hi Maik, I checked the ztigather.log and found the ADMINISTRATORS001, ADMINISTRATORS002 entries and they have the correct data selected. However, I could not find the ZTIGroups.log. Am I suppost to add that step in my task sequence? I thought that was only used to read and restore a refresh computers local admin group. If so, would I place it after the "Apply Windows Setting" step. Sam
