Hello all, I have configured multicasting per the blog by Steve Rachui http://blogs.msdn.com/b/steverac/archive/2008/10/19/setting-up-multicasting-in-sccm.aspx I am seeing my clients attempting to open multicasting sessions and my image deployments are successful, but the weirdest thing occurs during the multicasting process -- My clients open a multicast session, but it stalls at 40 seconds and then the clients attempts to open 3 more multicasting sessions (all of which stall after 40 seconds) and then the client reverts to unicast and the image is deployed. Just curious if anyone else has run into this issue. Thanks, MDH

Issue turned out to be the networking team providing bad information. Multicast was not enabled on the router on the subnet where I was testing. All is working now, albeit very sloooooow. -MDH
