SCCM Management Pack for OpsMgr
Hi,There are quite regularly posts on the OpsMgr Management Packs Forum (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/operationsmanagermgmtpacks/threads) about the SCCM Management Pack. The most recurring issues are the noise, duplicate and/or false alerts it generates. One MSFT poster wrote: The SCMM MP is ... ported from MOM 2005, and has been through the old (defunct) MPconvert.exe tool. That tool creates pretty noisy and hard to tune management packs. There is very little that can be done to fix the MP on your side. I can only concur with most of the complaints and I was therefore wondering:- if we may hope to see a reworked and truly native OpsMgr 2007 MP (no longer relying on the MOM 2005 Backward Compatibility Library) for ConfigMgr 2007.- what's happening in the ConfigMgr vNext space for OpsMgr.Cheers,Serge

I guess that you won't get an answer here, because nobody knows ... I would try asking the OpsMgr guys ;-)

bump... this is a pretty serious issue, imho. I thought the whole drive of the systems center suite was to leverage each other to make each piece more powerful. The licensing certainly implies a drive to get us to use more sys center products in conjunction. A good MP would go a long way in tying SCOM and SCCM together.

I would have to agree, this is a very serious ussue. The current management pack offers so much, but falls short in so many ways.
