SCCM MP failure - IIS log shows 200
Hi - SCCM secondary site MPs are failing frequently. Scenario a) Users were not able to receive any policies and client is not able to download the packages. b) IIS log looked ok as all are returning 200 except some 404 errors for Antivirus shares (it seems to me as a normal behavior) c) SMS Agent host server was stopped. Restarted the service however no luck. d) Restarted the server. After that IIS was full of 500 errors. e) The solution is to run CCMCLEAN.EXE and reinstall the client. This is happening across the infra. In a week 5 MPs going down. Can we remove SCCM client from the servers thenit will solve the problem? (that is the one step we need to perform now) Any advice please Anoop C Nair

Did you check PolicyAgent.log? You mentioned "SMS Agent host server was stopped. Restarted the service however no luck", Did you check dependency services? Hi - Sorry for the confusion. Am talking about the SCCM client box which is having SCCM secondary server installed on it with PMP. We have around 140 + secondary servers and it is common problem for most of them as SMS agent service is in STOPPED state and if I look at IIS log it says 500 error.
