SCCM Licensing and Deployment

Hi I am trying to understand the Licensing behind MS SCCM, I have a Datacenter and several VM hosts dotted around the world, I want to run config manager on the data center and setup deployment Point on my satellite servers.

What I would like to know is this:

I have to pay for a data centre License on my Datacentre as we are hosting several VMs on this, but do I have to purchase a License for each of my satellite servers where I want to create a distribution point.

I wish to utilize PXE and all the good things that SCCM can offer so trying to figure out the best way to design and deploy this.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You don't need a license for the DP/PXE unless you install the SCCM client and management them.

So buy SCCM it come with a SQL license after that you pay for devices you want to manage. (this is the short version)
