SCCM Discoverying Routers, Switches, etc etc
Hi,
We have recently installed SCCM 2007 R2.
I am trying to setup Network Discovery to pick up routers, switches, printers and IP phones.
The network discovery appears to run however I am unsure on where I need to look to find what it discovers. Report is below (Removed entries in regards to DHCP access errors except 1)
9:21:20 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 502 This component stopped.
9:21:20 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 1308 Network Discovery has stopped.
9:21:19 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 1305 Network Discovery is stopping the Network Discovery protocol modules.
9:20:58 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 1307 Network Discovery is exporting devices and networks to the Discovery Data Manager. This process can take a long time when many devices are being discovered.
9:20:57 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 1304 Network Discovery is stopping protocol operations.
9:20:01 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 1309 Network Discovery failed to connect to a DHCP server due to insufficient access.
9:20:01 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 1303 Network Discovery is starting protocol operations. Network Discovery is querying network devices to discover devices related to the specified configuration.
9:20:00 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 1302 Network Discovery protocol modules are initializing.
9:20:00 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 500 This component started.
9:20:00 AM ISIS-UTIL-01 SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY 1300 Network Discovery is starting.
As part of the DHCP discovery I recieved this error.
Network Discovery failed to connect to a DHCP server due to insufficient access.
This error message means that fewer clients and networks will be found than otherwise. Note that this message will not be generated again during this Network Discovery session, regardless of how often the error occurs.
Possible cause: the DHCP server is running in a domain in which the SMS Service account is not available. (Network Discovery runs under the SMS Service account as part of SMS Executive.)
Solution: Create an account on the DHCP server's domain with the same name and password as the SMS Service account.
Create an account on the DHCP server's domain with the same name and password as the SMS Service account.
Is someone able to explain that bolded line for me. I am not quite sure as to what it means.
Any help would be great.
Cheers,

In regards to the first part of the question. How can I actaully review the items that are discovered. Do I need to create a new collection and query to get this items?
If so how do I go about creating it.
