SCCM DR & OS deployment
Hi I have a Central site and few secondary sites in the environment, what is the best way to implement a DR for my environment? If i need to deploy OS to a location where there is no secondary site but it has a Standard DP, Can I use that to put in a PXE service point role so that it takes care of the OS deployment for that location rather than it coming up all the way to the secondary site sitting in other location. In the AD sites all the locations in that geography are added up to a single site, and that site is used as a boundary in my secondary site will the client talk to the PXE service point in that location. Thanks for the responses in advance

PXE requests have absolutely nothing to do with boundaries. You can use either IP helpers or DHCP options to tell a client where the PXE server is loacted. WinPE will then be delivered from the PXE SP. The OS image (and all other things going on during deployment) rely on standard content location requests (and therefore boundaries). BTW: it's better to use the OSD subforum for that kind of questions.

Ok, how is it exactly done with the IP helpers or DHCP, can you please provide the steps. If I have two distribution points sitting at two different locations and one of it is a secondary site with DP and other is just a standard DP and the user is in the location where the standard DP is will he get his files from that local DP or from any one of the DP's. Also how about the DR part of the question? Will take care of the postings in the appropriate location next time on :) Thanks
