SCCM Client push error
I have setup a demo environment to show my higher ups the benefit of using SCCM 2007. This is a complete demo environment isolated from our production network with all clean installs of the OS with the firewalls turned off. Environment: Windows server 2008 R2 (this is my lab environment. all of the other machines are hyperv vm's running on this device) Windows Server 2003 R2 as DC Windows Server 2008 R2 as the SCCM Site Server Windows XP as Client Windows 7 N as Client The site is in Mixed mode and I have already discovered the client machines. When I try pushing the client to the Windows XP machine the ccmsetup log shows this: <![LOG[==========[ ccmsetup started in process 1852 ]==========]LOG]!><time="14:57:04.352+300" date="12-13-2010" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="1664" file="ccmsetup.cpp:9010"> <![LOG[Version: 4.0.6487.2000]LOG]!><time="14:57:04.352+300" date="12-13-2010" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="1664" file="ccmsetup.cpp:2068"> <![LOG[Command line parameters for ccmsetup have been specified. Looks like you MP may be broken. (404 error) test it using the MP troubleshooter in the SCCM toolkit v2 John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/|

Hi, Please browse through MP URL from Client machines Url to check MP is working or not: http://smsservername/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist - if page display MP list, MP is working fine. http://smsservername/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mpcert - if a longstring appears, MP is working fine. If you used Windows Server 2008 as the site server, see this article and make sure the webdev was enabled and configured: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc431377.aspx Make sure BITS IIS server extension are installed http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753301.aspx Finally you can remove management Point and reboot server and reinstall MP.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
