SCCM Client not finalizing after task sequence and installing SCCM client KB977203 hotfix
After my task sequnce completes and I go into the config manager client properties there are only 4 tabs displayed; General, Components, Actions, and Advanced... The only two options I have under "Actions" are "Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle", "User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle". The config manager client version goes to .2111 after the hotfix, as it should, but doesn't seem to finalize pulling all site configurations... Any ideas? Only errors in the smsts log are: ReleaseRequest failed with error code 0x80004005 TSManager 11/22/2010 8:30:52 AM 1268 (0x04F4) Task Sequence Manager could not release active TS request. code 80004005 TSManager 11/22/2010 8:30:52 AM 1268 (0x04F4) Failed to delete registry value HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Task Sequence\System Health Agent. Could you please check CCMExec.log, clietlocation.log and locationservice.log, is there any error? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Issue occurs everytime I deploy to a client. If I manually restart the SMS Agent Host service it will complete, BUT, if I run the service restart as part of the task sequence it does not work, seems I have to be physically logged in for it to begin pulling policies. Hi, Please browse through MP URL from Client machines Url to check MP is working or not: http://smsservername/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist - if page display MP list, MP is working fine. http://smsservername/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mpcert - if a longstring appears, MP is working fine. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
