SCCM Client installation fails

I have been banging my head against this for weeks now, I am trying to install the sccm 2012 R2 client on a machine but it keeps failing with the following errors;

MSI: Warning 25702. Failed to uninstall PrepDrvr.Sys for Software Metering Agent.

MSI: Module C:\windows\CCM\UDAProvider.dll failed to register.  HRESULT -2147024703.  Contact your support personnel.

File C:\windows\ccmsetup\{4D87A80B-6971-43EF-A59F-8088D214378A}\client.msi installation failed. Error text: ExitCode: 1603
Action: SelfRegModules.
ErrorMessages:
Module C:\windows\CCM\UDAProvider.dll failed to register.  HRESULT -2147024703.  Contact your support personnel.

Any help to resolve this and get the client installed will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Waht is your client computer OS?

Wich kind of client installation are you trying?

Is your computer client of a previous version of ConfigMgr? In this case, you should uninstall the previous version, run ccmclean.exe, reboot and retry to install.

Can you try to do a clean uninstall of the client before installing the new one please.

you can use ccmsetup /uninstall

To look if the old client was uninstall properly look at a file call client.msi_uninstall.log if my memory is right

You could also from the old sms 2003 support tool get the ccmclean

If you need info about this look here:http://anoopcnair.com/2012/06/11/configmgr-sccm-2012-uninstallremove-cm-2012-client-using-ccmclean-exe/

I have done all of the above and same issue.

Are you sure the client was uninstall perfectly can you validate in the log?

After the complete uninstall just make a reboot and try again. But clearly you have remaining of the last sccm client installation on that windows 7 computer.

Have you considered that WMI may corrupt on this machine? You could try rebuilding the WMI repository - http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2009/04/13/wmi-rebuilding-the-wmi-repository.aspx

What happens when you manually try to register the dll specified? Does it give you the same error code?

The error code btw means that it is not a valid Win32 process. This is often caused by a corrupt file or AV. Have you validated that the dll in question is correct and works correctly on other systems?

I get an error the module failed to load. I have confirmed in other systems that it is valid and works.

I have reset the WMI, Disabled the Antivirus tried everything I found in the posts above and other posts. Same error. Only thing I have not tried is re-image the machine. Which is a bit tough as it is in a remote office.
