SCCM Client Versions any issues being version behind

This is not a problem with my workstations. They are on auto and should be up on the latest version by now.

I also support through just AV or also with windows updates our campus servers. Are there any issues running client version 5.00.7958.1000 when the latest version I have is 5.00.8239.1000?

I know you need latest client release to support the latest AV release. But are there any gotchas out there??

This is being asked by our server support team.

Thanks in Advance for Your

Hi,

No I cannot come to think of any issues that would be specific to the servers with the new version.

When I moved from SCCM R2 to SCCM R2 CU2, we had an issue with the servers not getting rebooted in the maintenance window. I checked the logs, upgraded the clients, then the reboots happened naturally...

We moved from SCCM R2 CU2 to SCCM R2 SP1... As of now, I have not had any reports on the servers not rebooting but if I were you,  would check it just to be safe. I upgraded our infrastructure just after the last patch Tuesday so the server team has not gone thru there new update cycle.

Thanks for the info Lavelle. I did have a server which would reboot outside of the maintenance window. We turned off reboots on the server and had the server team set the server to a scheduled reboot. I now know why the server was doing that behavior.
