SCCM Client License Information
There is no specific tracking mechanism as to whether a client is using a standard or enterprise ML. As with nearly all Microsoft CAL and ML licensing, it is on the honor system. Basically though, here's the guidance: - Managed Workstation OSes use the client ML - Managed Server OSes use either the standard or enterprise ML - If you are not using DCM on a managed server OS or are only using DCM with baselines that check core OS things on a managed server, then that server only requires a standard ML - If you are using DCM with baselines that check non-core OS things on a managed server, then that server requires an enterprise MLJason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com | Twitter @JasonSandys

Hi, Standard includes SCCM functionality except for DCM for workloads other then Base OS, file&print, networking. And it can only be used on a single installation per-physical machine. That does not apply to Enterprise ML: full workload DCM and can be used to manage any number of OS installations on a single physical server. For System Center Server suite bundles see:http://www.microsoft.com/systemcenter/svrmgmtsuites/howtobuy/default.mspx http://blogs.technet.com/b/alipka/archive/2008/01/07/sccm-licensing-simple-faq.aspx

You could use the "Count operating system versions" Report from the ConfigMgr Reporting Point role ... It'll show you a break down of OS types granular enough to start counting Enterprise and Standard. Also, Asset Intelligence can help but is a little more involved and not as deep as it could be, the gaps are filled by 3rd party vendors (google\bing around a bit and you'll find plenty). Check out the AI documentation if it's of interest: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc161988.aspx, you'll need to activate the AI classes, then wait for HINV to come back, but the AI reports should help.

Are you talking about Windows operating system type its standard or enterprise? or SCCM client type? SCCM client type whether its standard or enteripse depends on the operating system type?
