Hello All,
I was wondering if it's possible to collect software usage information via the SCCM client on windows/Linux/Unix machines. So not only what is installed but also how often something is used.

Although not explicitly listed at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/f8a17911-efbc-45a0-a937-8cbcac2fcc15#BKMK_LinixUNIX , Software Metering is a Windows client only thing to my knowledge and does not support managed *nix systems in ConfigMgr.
