SCCM 2012 updates stuck on device

Hi all,

I have problem with SCCM 2012 updates on two machines. I have published security updates on all devices in collections without any problems. Till last week. On two devices, process of downloading has been stuck on 50%, 66% or 78%.

Could I ask you how I should start troubleshooting this problem (I'm still "new" in SCCM topics).

Select this in the DP Properties (Clients(Which are throwing this problem) assigned DP)

Click on Administration and then expand Overview -> Site Configurationand click on Servers and Site System Roles. Click on the server in SCCM console and then double click on Distribution Point in the lower pane. 

Select Allow clients to connect anonymously on the General tab.

Refresh the policies in client machines, and try again pls

This is usually not needed and does not explain why only a few clients arw affected.

Hi guys,

I have found this article:

It's looks like cover my problem. In our enviroment, we are using English version of Office (that updates which has been stuck are related to Office). On devices which I found problem, users installed language pack to Office. I'm not sure this tutorial it can be used in my issue or it is related only for full localized versions of Office.

Hi,

I have found problematic updates. It is KB2553284, KB2687567 and KB2553145. All are related to Office 2010. All generates problems on Win7 and WinXP as well.

Right now on one PC it has stopped with "failed" status. I have checked it and found this:

"The software change returned error code 0x87D00669 (-2016410007)."

I have asked Google for this but  I can't find any information about this error number.

Post closed.

Problem was with missing languages for all of problematic updates. I have downloaded missing language updates, added it to updates package and distribute to DP servers.

Now it is working fine.

I suddenly started having this problem on one machine.  All Updates instantly fail with the same error code.  I see some people say language updates, but all we use is English.  I've redistributed to the only DP and no change on this machine, other machines receive updates just fine.  Any other advice?

One more piece of the puzzle I just found when going into Control Panel - Configuration Manager, if I tried to click Find a Site under Site Code tab (which currently lists the correct site code) it states "configuration manager did not find a site to manage this client"  Even though from SCCM Console it lists the correct site code as well.

All we utilize is a CAS and Primary Site for this setup.
