SCCM 2012 Warning in SMS Executive component after recovery

Hi All

Were testing some recovery options in our test environment

Our environment has a CAS and a Primary server

We've enabled the build in maintenance task Back Up Site Server

Yesterday we restored from this backup (our primary server) , everything seemed to be working  , but I noticed that the sms_executive component has a warning (error)

Could not read registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\Components\SMS_EXECUTIVE"

After an hour the Site Component Manager successfully reinstalled this component on this site system.

Afterwards there's another error in the sms_executive component: Could not read registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\Components\SMS_EXECUTIVE\Yield Configuration" on computer XXXXXXXXXXX. The operating system reported error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Will this error be solved after a while , because the registry entry exist , I dont now what to do with this error or warning

Thx

J

The computer XXXXXX, is that a site server of yours or just some client machine?

The computer xxxxxxxx is the site server and we've also the same error for our seperate MP and distribution point

So XXXXXXXXX means site server and also another server with the management point and dsitribution point role on it

I have the same problem, it would seem that its looking at the wrong location to ascertain the yield settings.

Hi All

Sorry I forgot this post

In my case this was not a problem I stoppend and started the component again.

Afterwards I checked the log file and also the component status in the console , it seems like taht SCCM corrected this issue by itself.
