SCCM 2012 SP2 Installation Prerequisite Checker Error

I am running the Prerequisite Checker from the 2012 SP2 installer before we plan on our environment upgrade next month. We are currently running SCCM 2012 R2 version 5.00.7958.1000 and upgrading to SP2. I am also aware that the upgrade to SP2 will result in actually ending up with SP1.

I first ran the checker against my CAS using all defaults, and the CAS passed all checks. I then logged into one of my Primary Sites and performed the same actions. However my Primary Site throws an error on "Verify Central Administration Site Version" stating: "The parent Administration Site has different version, not match the version of current Primary Site setup."

I have checked our versioning on both servers, and they are a match. I validated from the console by connecting to each server, and looking at the properties of each under the Site Configuration. I also looked at the installed components within Programs and Features on each server and they are a match.

Any idea's on why I am getting this error?

Hi,

This is expected behavior in that it's warning that the parent site must be first upgraded before the primary can be.
