SCCM 2012 SP2 - MDT 2013 Update 1 & ADK 10 - Error trying to create MDT boot image: 'Please fix all errors before continuing'

Hi

Getting an issue after installing ADK 10 and MDT 2013 Update 1 (release versions, not previews) in a SCCM 2012 SP2 environment.

Uninstalled ADK 8.1, rebooted the server, installed ADK 10, uninstalled MDT 2013, installed MDT 2013 Update 1, then rebooted. Ran the MDT integration wizard against SCCM, all ok.

I manually created x64 and x86 ADK 10 boot images, as per information published online.

However when I try to create a MDT boot image, I get the following message:

'Please fix all errors before continuing'.

(Above it says 'Note: Windows 10 ADK (with System Centre Configuration Manager) must be installed on the current machine in order to select this option. Once create, the new package must be distributed to the needed distribution points manually before it can be used by the task sequence').

ADK is installed.

I'm wondering if this is due to the default boot images created previously (version 6.3.9600.16384 from ADK 8.1.) still being present - I suspect the MDT boot image create wizard uses the default boot images as part of its process before injecting the MDT extensions.

Should these older version default boot images be removed? I haven't seen anything in the documentation I've read which states the older default boot images should be removed after installing ADK 10.

Best regards

John

Old and current boot images can co-exist happily.

Thanks for replying Torsten.

Yes, but any ideas why I'm getting the error when I try to run the 'Create MDT boot image' wizard?

I believe I have found a way round it, by creating a new MDT boot image as part of the MDT task sequence, but I still want to be 100% sure.

Cheers

I have never seen that error message so it's hard to tell which logfile to examine, but does smsprov.log tell more details?
