SCCM 2012 SP1 and WSUS

Hello all,

I hope that you are well!

We're having an issue regarding SCCM 2012 SP1 and WSUS (hosted on another server). We did the best practices for configuring SCCM 2012 SP1 and that existing WSUS. After installing KB2734608 and KB2720211 on the WSUS we can't open the mmc console anymore, that is our issue...

So now what we want to do is to remove that specific configuration, so our Customer can at least approve updates from their existing WSUS which we can't accomplish right now.

So my question is...is ther any way to repair their existing WSUS?

What we are planning to do is to remove role from SCCM, remove Site server which is our WSUS, remove KB2734608 and KB2720211.

After doing this we will see if we can open the mmc console from WSUS...I hope that we can.

Does anyone have already face that issue, and what can be done to resolve this?

Thank you for your precious collaboration and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Can you open the WSUS console on the server itself? What happens if you do so?

Hello Torsten,

From the WSUS server (another server, not installed on our SCCM) we can't.

From our SCCM server I did not tried that, let me check that!!

If it's not the case, that we can't open the console from our SCCM server, have you any other ideas!

Best regards Torsten
