SCCM 2012 SP1 Asset Intelligence Point Error - Need to provision online account

Hello Team,

I'm experiencing an issue with Asset Intelligence feature, the message shows that is needed to provision an online account.

I've configured this feature on SCCM 2007, but I don't remember that was necessary add an online account to accomplish this feature.

When I saw the AIUpdateSvc.log, it shows an error that is not possible connect to remote server.

My environment is:

  • A SCCM 2012 SP1 (September, 2012) installed on Windows Server 2012.
  • A SQL 2012 SP1 installed on another Windows Server 2012.

I've read that some have installed some hotfixes to SCCM 2012 SP1, but I don't know if that fix this issue or probably I need to do an extra configuration on SCCM 2012 SP1.

Regards,

Paul Mendoza.

Can you add a screenshot? Where and when does that occur? What's in the ai*.logfile?

Hello Torsten,

I've added some pictures to give you a better understanding about the problem that I'm experiencing.

The implementation is in Spanish, however the error is that is needed to provision an online account.

I also add the error that I found at AIUpdateSvc.log which shows that It's not possible to find a remote server.

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Paul Mendoza.

ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 was not out in Sep 2012. SP1 wasn't released until earlier this year. Are you possibly on a beta version of SP1?Did you configure a certificate when adding the AI Sync Point role?

Hello Jason,

I made a mistake, I've checked the version and it's 5.0.7804.1000 and it also is activated.

About the second question, I didn't configure a certificate when adding the Asset Intelligence Synchronization Point.

I wait for your comments.

Regards,

Paul Mendoza.

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) as they can work with you to solve this problem.
