SCCM 2012 R2 client not working on primary site server

The client installs on the PS MP but no actions show up, the site is not assigned.  When I assigned the site I am given an error.

Clients deploy and operate as expected to all other servers.

Most servers, including the 2012 R2 PS MP server, were once 2007 clients.  I uninstalled the old client prior to the 2012 client install.

Hi ,

Please first check if the client falls into to the correct Boundary and Boundary group on the site server.

Then please make sure that the AD schema is extended.

http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2012/10/30/extending-the-schema-in-system-center-2012-configuration-manager.aspx

On the client, check if the MP is fine. Open this link and check if there is any result.

Check the ClientLocation log, Location service log and ClientIDManagerStartup.log to see if there is any error.

Thanks.

The client gets the bits and installs so it shouldn't be boundaries.  The client simply wont take a Site name therefor no actions, etc.

The link returned:

<?xml version="1.0"?>

-<MPList>

-<MP FQDN="SCCM12PSS01SAT.test.com" Name="SCCM12PSS01SAT.test.COM">

<Version>7958</Version>

-<Capabilities SchemaVersion="1.0">

<Property Name="SSLState" Value="0"/>

</Capabilities>

</MP>

</MPList>

Same errors in the logs that I posted above.

Hi ,

Did you extend the AD schema?

If you have configured the Boundaries. Please make sure that the AD site boundaries groups are set as "Use this boundary group for site assignment".

1.In the Configuration Manager console, click Administration.

2.In the Administration workspace, expand Hierarchy Configuration, and click Boundary Groups.

3.Select the boundary group you want to modify.

4.On the Home tab, in the Properties group, click Properties.

5.In the Properties dialog box for the boundary group, select the General tab to modify the boundaries that are members of this boundary group:

To add boundaries, click Add, select the check box for one or more boundaries, and click OK.
To remove boundaries, select the boundary and click Remove.

6.Select the References tab to modify the site assignment and associated site system server configuration:

To enable this boundary group for use by clients for site assignment, select the check box for Use this boundary group for site assignment, and then select a site from the Assigned site dropdown box.

I have checked and double checked all of the above, no joy.

Keep in mind all boundaries are correct, all other machines everywhere can get the client AND set the site code EXCEPT the Primary Site server.
