SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 - Application Deployment - Notification Behavoiur

Dear Experts,

We are In Process of Deploying Application's to End User with help of SCCM 2012 R2 SP1.

Under Client Settings, We have an Option of "Display Notification to User - For every 48 hours" if the deadline is greater than 24 Hours.

We are getting the notification Prompt, but do we have any options to make the Notification Prompt to Stay without disappearing it. It is getting disappeared quickly.

Our Users are reporting that they do not see the Notification and it's getting disappeared Quickly. Parllely we are also thinking of changing the time frame to display the notification behavior randomly.

If we have any Non-Microsoft (3rd Party Tool) - For using this Option would be also considered (If any Suggestion's)

Please advice us..

Hi,

The PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit has some functions to persist a installation prompt, that can be configured.

You can also configure the possibility to defer an installation etc.

Thank you Torsten,

So based on your suggestion & advice, we can consider the Client Settings Customization is far enough.

On the same Scenario, does the SCCM allows the User to install Application Pro-Actively before the deadline, without any user efforts (User does not require to initiate the installation, but the application has to be installed)

Please apologize for Silly question, its kind of requirement from the Customer level.

Just test that scenario and you'll find out that the request does not make sense. Either the user has to initiate it or he has to wait until the deadline is reached.
