SCCM 2012 R2 OSD Domain join issue Windows 8.1 x64 Enterprise

Hello,

Have a tablet that has no Ethernet solution so can't PXE boot with a USB Ethernet Dongle and BIOS only sees a USB thumbdrive so using a Task Sequence Media type Bootable USB thumbdrive solution through a USB 4 port hub with keyboard, mouse, and USB Ethernet Adapter. Got it going but it won't join a domain. Have a snippet of NetSet.log below in HTML.

Would some Apply Network Settings Task Sequence Action Variables cure this issue?

Thanks!

Have you validated (using F8 command prompt) that you have network connectivity during the task sequence? Use the command prompt to do an ip config while in WinPE.  What is the output?

This is an old article, but it points out DNS may be an issue? http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/2012/07/20/windows-7-sysprep-fails-to-join-domain-error-0x52e/

Looking at your DNS configuration

  DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 172.25.160.1
                                       172.25.170.1

Are those DNS aware of the domain ?

if you want to join the domain  abc.local these DNS must be able to resolve abc.local to a DC.

You could test this simply by using F8 and doing ping abc.local if it doesn't return a DC you have a issue.
