SCCM 2012 Clients in Inactive state

Dear All,

Recently non-active collection was accidentally deleted. In current state in our infrastructure we have around 6000 client machines out of which almost 5900 machines are under inactive state. If i check the agent time under properties it seems to be ok.I am done rebooting the servers and repair for the client systems also checked log files. But still the client machines are under inactive and count is increasing.

Also the packages are stuck in waiting for content and in progress state. Also there are replication issues between sites how do i go about solving it.

Require urgent suggestions on the same as to how to proceed further.

Require urgent suggestions on the same as to how to proceed further.

You should call Microsoft support (CSS) if you need immediate assitance.

Have you already examined anything? If so: what exactly? There are tons of possible causes that might lead to the issue you described.
Is your MP working at all for example? Have you run replication link analyzer? Have you examined anything on the Monitoring node?

Hi,

I concur with Torsten, you need to find the root cause.

Normally, the status will change once the clients send heartbeat again.

Or, you could use the command below to trigger Heartbeat Discovery Cycle on the remote client.

Invoke-WmiMethod -Computer xxxxxx -Namespace root\ccm -Class sms_client -Name TriggerSchedule "{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000003}"
