SCCM 2012 Client Software Center - no items found.

hi there,

we are using software center as self-service portal for users and it's working quite good!

unfortunely i software center displays "no items found" on a specific computer, though the pc is in the correct collection.

i have re-installed sccm client, repaired wmi repository and also re-imported the machine into sccm 2012 but still no luck.

anyone can point me on a possible solution?

thank you!

Any chance the computer is in CM more than once? Has it recently been reimaged?

i deleted both of the and re-imported it into sccm but still no luck...

You are actually looking for duplicate MAC addresses rather than duplicate names. Run this report

Why should a duplicate MAC address prevent Software Center from displaying anything?

You're quite right Torsten. Moment

Don't import it, if the client is installed properly just let the client send a heartbeat and that will add it back to the database. After that the client should work fine. Or at least we've eliminated this as the issue and we can look for some other issue.

Hello

we had exactly the same behavior. The Software Center shows everytime "No items found". After further tests we found that we could see applications in the Software Center, but still no packages.

After one day struggle we found the issue/solution. It seems that is not a bug, it is a feature....

Situation: Another user was logged in. It seems that the Software Center will only display packages for the first/default logged on user.

Solution: Make sure the previous user logs off completely (not just disconnected) and there are no users logged on to the machine before another user logs on.

The Applications do not have this restriction and will be displayed for all users logged on to the machine

Hope this helps

I have also found that to be the case with client software center. I was wondering if anyone was able to disable that feature. Does this prevent two installers from happening at the same time? The feature is not really helpful for my case where I have a few communal computer for conferences. The software center should be available even if another user is logged on. In the slight chance someone needs something.

I could really use some words from someone who might have encountered a need to disable  that feature.

Thank you

Hi Diversion, just want to know if this is the solution to the No Items will be display in SC. Cause i am also encountering the same thing. Does this happens to advertised software application only or its the same for software updates and OSD TS? If this is the solution, then i will put a note for my reference. Thanks.

I would think that the answer to this is that the content in SC will only be displayed to the first logged in user on that particular machine as I have also experiencing the same issue and test to have only 1 user logging in and it works.
