HI,
Need to know whether AIX Client is supported in SCCM 2012 with SP1. If yes, what all the features supported.
Yes, AIX will be supported. But there's going to be a short time lag -- perhaps an extra month or two -- before the AIX, HP-UX, and Solaris 11 versions are released. We will get Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux, and Solaris 9 and 10 out first, and then HP-UX, AIX, and Solaris 11 will come a bit later. Cumulative Update 1 to the Configuration Manager clients for Linux and UNIX has been released.
This release delivers the following additional capabilities and features to the System Center 2012 Configuration Manager SP1 release:
* Support for managing additional operating systems: AIX, HP-UX, Solaris 11, CentOS, Debian, Oracle Linux and Ubuntu.
* Open Management Infrastructure CIM server (OMI Version 1.0.6.5) that enables customers to create their own inventory providers.
* A simplified common client, the Universal Agent, that supports a broad set of Linux distributions.
* Miscellaneous bug fixes.
