Did you check the event logs for more details? Also, you can check the SCCM setup log ConfigMgrSetup.log?Anoop C Nair - This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees, and confers no rights. |Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Look for Windows Security Event Log on the SQL Server it might record an entry with the Event ID 18456. This error usually results from incorrect Active Directory service principal name (SPN) registration of the SQL Server service account for the SQL Server named instance. You can also check ConfigMgrSetup.log.Zulqarnain Ali | MCTS, MCSA | Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you.

This is not from ConfigMgr. I have done many, many installs and have never had a reboot. As suggested by Anoop, check your event logs to see if you can find the culprit.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys

Is there an older version of WAIK installed? If so: try uninstalling it before installing ConfigMgr.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

Uninstall the conflicting software and try to re-install Configuration Manager. It will be good if you can download the SCCM media again and then try to re-install.Zulqarnain Ali | MCTS, MCSA | Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. I have solved this issue by installing ibm_suap_3.1.22.exe that is available on IBM web site & disabled IBM Automatic Server Restart Service for IPMI windows services. My server is IBM X3650 model & OS Win 2008 R2 64bit. http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/systems/support/system_x/ibm_suap_3.2.14.exe SCCM Administrator
