SCCM 2007 SP2 on SCCM 2007 R2
Experts,
I have successfully installed SCCM 2007 SP1 and R2 on Windows 2008 R2 (64 bit) operating system. then i am trying to install SCCM SP2 on SCCM 2007 R2, but there is no option to proceed the installation, i mean in the Setup Screen "Available Setup Option"
all the options are grayed out except "Uninstall Configuration Manager Site Server".
Downloaded Software's are...
SCCM 2007 SP1 - SCConfigMgr07_EVAL_EN
SCCM 2007 R2 - ConfigMgr07R2Eval_RTM_ENU_6355
SCCM 2007 SP2 - ConfigMgr07SP2Eval_RTM_ENU
Please help me to install SCCM 2007 SP2 for Windows 7 deployment.
thanks. Shiv

See if there's anything usefel in C:\ConfigMgrSetup.log.
Keep in mind that it's not supported to install ConfigMgr SP1 on Server 2008.

ConfigMgrSetup.log....
<10-14-2010 22:05:58> Eval site is detected.
<10-14-2010 22:05:58> Setup has detected an existing primary site on this computer. Because the current installation is a different version, you do not have the option of modifying the installation.
Also i have downloaded the below
SCCM 2007 SP1 - SCConfigMgr07_EVAL_EN
SCCM 2007 R2 - ConfigMgr07R2Eval_RTM_ENU_6355
SCCM 2007 SP2 - ConfigMgr07SP2Eval_RTM_ENU

Hi,
Upgrading from ConfigMgr SP1 evaluation release to ConfigMgr SP2 evaluation release is not supported, same thing if you use the SP2 upgrade package. So, you should use ConfigMgr wSP2 complete release version to make the upgrade or reinstall ConfigMgr 2007
wSP2 from zero.

Thanks Gharbi,
Is ConfigMgr SP2 update (ConfigMgr07SP2Upgrade_RTM_ENU.exe - 1314.3MB)
from Microsoft supports to upgrade ConfigMgr SP1 Evalauation release?
We need to test the Windows 7 deployment in SCCM 2007 in my lab before start in production? Please advice to achieve this target.

Have you read Bechir's reply? The link contains a paragraph called "Supported Upgrade Paths" and there you'll see that this is not supported (see the first table).

Thanks Torsten.
one more query, while New SCCM implementation, can we install SCCM 2007 like SCCM 2007 SP1 > R2 > SP2 > R3 or can we directly install SCCM 2007 SP2 > R3.

Install ConfigMgr 2007 with SP2 then R3. Also note that ConfigMgr wSP1 site server is not supported on Windows 2008 R2
