SCCM 2007 SP2 Console doesn't show Computer Discovered
I have a problem where I can't see a Computer on the SCCM Console (All Systems Collection), but the thing is that I do the System Discover and in the log it shows:
INFO: DDR was written for system 'TGAXDC190' - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\inboxes\auth\ddm.box\ads591ig.DDR at 5/17/2012 10:27:57.
But when when I find the same Computer on the SCCM Console I don't find it.
I even don't see the Computer on the SCCM Database with the Query:
select * from v_R_System where Name0 = 'TGAXDC190'
I also tried uninstalling the Antivirus and turning off the firewall from the SCCM Server and the SQL Server of the SCCM, and nothing.
I'm starting to think there might be a problem in the connection between the SCCM Server and the SCCM Database Server.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Did you refresh the collection? Sometimes that's really slow. Can you see the machine in SQL?
select * from v_R_System where Name0 = 'TGAXDC190'

Hi John,
I've been trying the System Discovery since 2 days ago, and also made the Collection refresh, but nothing.
I'm starting to think there might be a problem in the connection between the SCCM Server and the SCCM Database Server.
And yes, that Query didn't show me the Computer in the Database, just empty space.
Thanks for your help.

So your database is remote? Is this a new install? Has it ever worked?

John,
Yes, the Database is in other Server, no this is not a new Install, this is a SCCM 2007 migrated from SMS 2003 two years ago (2010), when the migration was over it all worked fine.
This problems are appearing just now 1 week ago.

If nothing has changed on the SQL server or the site server I wouldn't suspect it being a connectivity issue. If it is a connectivity issue you should see tons of errors in your site server logs and your MP will not work if you test it with MPlist and MPtest

Check the SCCM logs, not the event viewer. I'd expect to see errors in the MP logs for sure. Also you can test your MP using MPList and MPCert.

I suspect a backlog in the auth folder. How many files are in it?

Hi Nick,
In that folder are 4 other folders: dataldr.box, ddm.box, sinv.box and statesys.box, do you want me to open an especific folder to find files?

Have you tried to reinstall the client and remove the smscfg.ini/sms.ini file?

Hi Gakis,
I'll try, but the problem is with more than one computer, or are you talking aboute the client installed on the SCCM Server?
