SCCM 2007 R3 with SQL 2012
I have one of our SCCM Child Primary Servers SCCM 2007 R3 with SQL Server 2008 R2 on the same box. All the Site Servers in the hierachy are all SCCM 2007 R3 and SQL Server 2008 R2. I was thinking about putting the SCCM database on a database server
at that site which is SQL Server 2012. Is SCCM 2007 R3 compatible with SQL 2012 and can this be acomplished? Thanks in advance.

Nothing has been released that 2007 is SQL 2012 compliant that I can recall.
you can watch the supported configurations. Generally you have to wait 90 or more days for the software to be tested and deemed compliant to work on it.

Hi,
Good to know upgrade is possible and MS supported scenario, however appreciate info on below points
Is it supported and harmless to upgrade SQL to 2012 on child primary while central still runs SQL 2008 R2 (in SCCM 2007 hierarchy) ?I see these articles are needed for upgrade from SQL 2008 to SQL 2012(
Article 2676776 &
Article 2676737)are they prerequisites for upgrade or break fix install of issues post SQL 2012 upgrade ?
Thanks, Vasu Vasu
