You've to use the client installation methods other than Client Push. Yes, Soft distribution and Software Updates will work. Try Jason's script to install clients? http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/archive/2010/10/19/configmgr-client-startup-script.aspxAnoop C Nair - Twitter @anoopmannur MY BLOG: http://anoopmannur.wordpress.com SCCM Professionals This posting is provided AS-IS with no warranties/guarantees and confers no rights.

Only client push requires access to the admin$share, other installation methods will work. Having said that, disabling the admin$ will cause you all sort of problems in terms of client management.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Those quqestions were already answered above. Client push is the only thing (from a ConfigMgr point of view) that will not work if admin$ is disabled. All other ConfigMgr functions will work (software distribution, software updates etc)Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
