SCCM 2007 R3 : SCCM Client Installation - If Admin Share is disabled
Hello,
In our Organization we have disabled the Auto Admin Share (C$,D$ etc) for security reson.
I want to install the SCCM Client and i want manage the SCCM Client systems.
Whether SCCM Client will install if the Admin Share is disabled and Software Deployment, Patch Management will work with out any problem if Admin share is disabled.
Please help me.MNYash

You've to use the client installation methods other than Client Push.
Yes, Soft distribution and Software Updates will work.

Only client push requires access to the admin$share, other installation methods will work. Thanks for the Information.
Means Other Client installation Method will work except Client Push Installation Method.
Whether it will give any problem for client management like, Software Deployment, Patch Management etc...?

Those quqestions were already answered above.
Client push is the only thing (from a ConfigMgr point of view) that will not work if admin$ is disabled.
All other ConfigMgr functions will work (software distribution, software updates etc)Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
