SCCM 2007 R2 does not show 'yes' as installed
Hi, I have recently installed SCCM 2007 R2 on one of our secondary sites. When looking at the SCCM console on the primary site it does not display a 'R2 Installed Yes' when looking at the properties of the secondary site system. Can someone please advise why I am not seeing this? Thanks.

Make sure that the secondary site can communicate with its primary (Sender.log). Also have a look at the logfile that the R2 setup generated (I think it can be found in %temp%). You can also check if "IsR2CapableRTM" can be found in the sitecontrolfile of the secondary site (sitectrl.box).

BTW.... most common communication error is that the two servers do not have admin rights on one another John Marcum, Systems Management Architect - www.TrueSec.com

Did anyone ever figure this out? Instead of opening a new thread - I figured i'll piggy-back off this one until it is closed. I am having the same issue. I have a sender address configured properly. The R2 install log in %temp% shows a successful install. Each server is an Admin on the other. Thanks ZachZach Smith

I think, sitecomp.log will also has some entries like ~R2 enabled (I don't remember exactly). Also, check the registry entries for new version of SCCM. In some cases, it will take some time to reflect these settings in the console.Anoop C Nair

Still no good. I was getting errors in the Sender.log on the secondary site stating "Connecting to D:\SMS\inboxes\schedule.box\outboxes\LAN Found send request. ID: 1000FBRI, Dest Site: COR ~There is no longer an address to destination site COR " So I deleted/recreated the Sender addresses on the Primary site (COR) and the 2ndary site (BRI) and got this "FQDN for server PrimarySiteServer is PrimarySiteServer.domain.com Passed the xmit file test, use the existing connection" ...And now the sender.log no longer throws errors. However, R2 Still shows as not installed. I installed SP1 - the admin console reports the correct version of 4.00.6221.1000. I then upgraded to SP2 as all my other sites are SP2 and the admin console reports the correct "4.00.6487.2000". I check the 'programs and features' on the 2ndary site and it shows SCCM 2007 R2 as an installed program - yet the admin console still shows R2 installed "No". Any help would be greatly appreciated ZachZach Smith

It's showing as installed now. I reinstalled the site and recreated the sender addresses on both ends. It took about 2 hours - but it shows as installed now.Zach Smith

Glad to see it's installed now. In some cases it would take more time to get things changed in console.Anoop C Nair
