Hello,

I keep getting the following error when I try to use Multicast for Operating System Deployment:

"Package failed to download from Multicast enabled DP, Error 1722: The RPC server is unavailable"

I have all server roles installed on one  2008R2 machine.

I have PXE booting working fine, so I don't think WDS is misconfigured, but I'm not sure how to check.

Does anyone have an idea of what I can do to solve this problem?

Where is that error message from?

Typically, a single error message out of context doesn't give us any real information to go from.

Can you please post the entire relevant snippet from smsts.log on the target client?
