SCCM 2007R2 Remote Control problem
After the recent transfer from SMS 2003 to SCCM 2007, a number of PCs (WinXP-based) experienced the following problems related to Remote Tools:
1. After installing the client, the local group ConfigMgr Remote Tools Users doesn't exist at all.
2. The group is created, but, apparently, doesn't have enough rights to DCOM, so when a remote operator who's a part of this group but doesn't have the local admin rights logs in, he gets a login/password request.
Usually reinstalling the client helps, but not always on the first try, not to mention it creates a lot of problems considering the size of the organization.
Are there any better ways to solve the problem?

Hi,
You may check with the diagnostic WMI utility to see if it is related with the
WMI components.
Also, please see the following similar threads:

Sometimes it helps just to disable the Remote tools client agent on the site level. Wait 2 hours and enable again, and give it a try.
