Solution: After a ConfigMgr 2007 OSD Task Sequence completes, the client may not automatically pull down policy SCCM Client Actions Missing From the first blog post that was pointed to by Sabrina, I checked the reg entries on the clients concerned. They are not in provisioning mode. The client seem to be able to connect to a MP. Locationservices.log follows. is this a build and capture ts or a deploy ts ? if it's build and capture make sure the SLP is correctly defined as I explain here Build and Capture Windows 7 sample task sequence adding windows updates by specifying the SLP double check for spelling mistakes in the setup windows and configmgr step. also have you verified dns is all ok ? can you ping the FQDN of your Management Point ? Hi, Thanks first to Niall and Don for responding. Some explanations are due. This is an OSD TS. The WIM that is deployed / applied during this TS ( not captured via build and capture) was built around 28/04/2010 (using WAIK I believe). I have a fall back status point defined. I also had a SLP which I removed today. Niall , I can ping the FQDN of MP from the client.The client gets installed on the PC after the WIM is applied. The AD schema is extended and the site is defined in AD DS. As Don correctly puts it. The machine is domain joined during the TS. This happens successfully. I can't see most of the possible causes of this issue on show ( eg: MP can't be located, not in provisioning mode etc). Yet the actions ( most) and some tabs are missing. None of the components are enabled either. I have uninstalled the client and tried a client install via Push and this hasn't worked either. Obviously I am doing something wrong or something is not in place. I think SCCM is a great product that has a lot of knobs that need to be in the exact place or tuned properly to work. I would like be able to ( of course with all the Help from Those in that more much more experienced ) troubleshoot this and learn from it. Thanks for your continued help. Nalin. Nalin.

Hi This is a question for Niall based on what I saw in your build and capture TS. I saw that most of your ccmsetup switches were defined in the properties of the TS install properties. I define them in the program part of the SCCM client install package. I also have a "patch" that gets installed as part of the R3 client install (kb977384). If I were to put all the switches in the TS step do I remove all switches from the program area of the package ? Thanks Nalin. Nalin.
