Hello,
I recently inherited an SCCM 2012 R2 environment with a configuration that I haven't seen before. The primary site server is a single server install (MP+DP+DB). SCCM is installed on the 2nd disk (D). What I found strange is a 3rd disk was provisioned that houses a portion of the SCCMContentLib. The layout looks like this:
C:\ = Operating System
D:\ = SCCM/SQL Install - SCCMContentLib\FileLib lives here
E:\ = SCCMContentLib\DataLib and PkgLib live here.
There is plenty of disk space available (virtual server). FileLib makes up ~200 GB. DataLib and PkgLib make up ~4 GB. Does anyone have any idea why this content would be relocated to a separate disk? I'm told this configuration was recommended by the MS Gold Partner that did the install.
