SCCM/SMS client deletion from database
Hi ,I just want to understand if a SCCM client deleted from the database by script, wil all the advertisements relevant to the client will still remain or will it go off.Concern is, if I delete a client from the database all the deployed applications should be removed. How its possible?Thanks.D.Shabi Basha

Hi,You should neverupdate the ConfigMgr database through scripts. A solution is to use App-V and ConfigMgr R2, then you have the option that when the App-V package is not longer advertised it will be removed from the client. Please mark posts as Answered if appropriate.

Hi,You can just run a package that removes the MSI files from the client. But removing the client from the database will not be noticed by the client. After a few hardware inventories the client will be back in the database. So you need to uninstall the client in order to remove it correctly.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products
