SCCM's Advertview equivalent
Hi This might test some memory.. but in SMS 2.0, there was a tool called "Advertiview" with the SMS support tools or resource kit. I found this tool to be excellent, as it gave a better view of the advertisement status on PC's in matter of few clicks. Does anyone know if there is a similar tool available for SCCM? I have looked and looked, and couldn't find one. Thanks DM

Try Roger Zander's Client Center: http://sourceforge.net/projects/smsclictr/.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys

I've had a quick look at this, and this is a nice tool. However, the advertisement feature on this tool seems to be per client based. So its good to use to check what advertisement a PC has and the advert status they are in. I was more after advertisement status on the whole collection/advertisement level. So i can check how many clients have the package received/installed/failed etc, in a nice easy view (as what Advertiview provided). Thanks DM

Oh, that's built in (it's been so long since I've seen 2.0 I wasn't sure what you were referring to). Just expand Site Database->System Status->Advertisement Status and select the advert you want to review -- its information will show in the details pane on the right.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys

Thanks Jason. That data is a bit raw.. was hoping to find something that provided better looking output. I had a look at reporting section, and there are some prebuilt advertisement reports, that look ok, but nothing close to "Advertview". I will keep looking... thanks!!

Have you tried Advert view on ConfigMgr site? It might still work.http://www.enhansoft.com/

Garth, just tried it, and it connects.. so had my hopes up... but the output is no good. Gives me the correct number of clients getting the advertisement... but no data. Dang!! Thanks for the suggestion though. I will stick with the builtin SCCM reporting for now, until someone decides to develop such a tool! :) DM
