Runtime filter values differ from values setup in designer. SQL server 2005
Hi,
I am confused as i have setup values for the filter criteria for company as 'JTWO' & 'STOC' in design mode of report builder however when i access the report from report manager the values that prompted @ runtime are AARFT05F and ARRTUEID'.
any reason why report builder should change the filter criteria @ runtime.

If these are your "initial values" or hardcoded lsit values for the filters then on the report server they are set on 1st deploy. changing them in the report builder does not overwrite them on the report server - you need to physically change them on the
report serverRgds Geoff

Hi Geoff,
These are values imported from the Model, however when I execute the report the parameters from the design mode overwrite the parameters from report manager hence the report shows the desired output.
How can I physically change them from the report Server.

If you go to the properties of the report in the report manager, there should be a link for "Parameters". go into there and you should be able to set default valuesRgds Geoff

Hi Geoff,
Thanks for the advise. One of the filter criteria is Title name and we approximately 2500 titles, are you telling me that I have to manually set the default values.

Hopefully not - that should only be the case for "default" values
How are the list of titles generated?Rgds Geoff

Hi Geoff,
I have a fact table that is linked to the primary Title table. The list of values for the filter criteria is getting fetched from the Primary table.

If you are running a query to get the list of values then the only thing I can think of is that the data source being used in the ReportServer environment is pointing to a different version of the database than the onebeing used in the design environmentRgds Geoff
