Running deployed SSRS 2005 reports with parameters from IE Address Bar
Trying to run deployed SSRS 2005 reports with parameters on IE Address Bar. Want to know how to setup the Parameters on IE address bar and make SSRS report actually run from address bar.

I`mnot sure how you`re calling the report but I use a URL of the with following format in a `Jump to report` There are two parameters One called Department and another called AYIdentifier. this also renders to CSV if you don`t want that remove the &rs:Format=CSV. http://reports.ourdomain.net/ReportServer/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?%2fREPORTNAME&Department=Infosys&AYIdentifier=1011&rs:Format=CSV

Hi mm11kk33, According to your description, you would like to pass parameter via URL to reports. Actually, we can pass report parameters to a report by including them in a report URL just as Steven’s reply. We should find the report URL on report server not report manager. The default directory path of report server is http://SeverName/Reportserver, and we can pass parameters by adding &parameter=value in the end of the URL. Please take the following link as an example: http://servernname/ReportServer/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?%2fSales%2fPacific+Reseller+Sales+Margin+Analysis&rs:Command=Render &rc:Parameters=false&Year=2001 For more details about how to pass parameters to a report via URL, please refer to the following articles, Using URL Access Parameters: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms152835.aspx Passing parameters and other options directly through a URL in Reporting Services: http://www.mssqltips.com/tip.asp?tip=1336 If you have any question, please feel free to ask. Thanks, Eileen
