I have 2 WFEs and 1 index server in a MOSS 2007 farm. SSP is running on one ofthe WFE. How could I make the SSP running on the other WFE as well.Or is it okay/possible to put the SSP application on NLB?Thanks.

The SSP is running on all servers in the farm. You can setup NLB between the two WFE as long as the Default site in AAM is the URL of the NLB.

if you can provide more details on the error that will be more easy to track-down.Try to go to : windows log file and SharePoint log file at the 12 Hive\logsI have a similar scenario, it works well and straight forward for me.

I was getting this error too. Adding the extra server's in Alternative Access Mapping fixed it. eg: Default: http://IndexServer:6100 Intranet: http://QueryServer:6100 Custom: http://AnyOtherServerWithCA:6100
